So who says these are Cape Cod's finest restaurants? Well, I suppose you could say I do! And what qualifies me to hand-pick the best restaurants? Here's my story - living in southern Europe for 20 years has given me the opportunity to experience many different food cultures.
I always enjoy eating at all these restaurants, after all, that's the point of the site - to feature Cape Cod's finest. Naturally, I do have personal favorites: Blue Moon Bistro, Buca's, Wianno Grille, the Regatta and twenty-eight Atlantic.
My personal favorite ice cream parlor is the Ice Cream Smuggler on route 6A in Dennis. Aside from great ice cream, it's in a great area to enjoy your ice cream since it's in walking distance of the the Village Green & Bandstand.
And also Cafe Gelato Bertini on Pearl Street (just off Main St) in Hyannis. OK, so it's not "traditional" ice cream - it's Italian gelato - but it's positively delizioso!
Hands down it's Sweet Tomatoes on Main Street in Osterville. I've spent too many years in Italy not to know "as close as you can get" to a good, authentic Italian pizza on Cape Cod!
From Paris through Provence to the Côte d’Azur, from Barcelona to Valencia, from Venice through Tuscany and on to Rome, I delighted in simple, peasant fare and also savored the more refined gourmet dishes. For me, appreciating good food is like being enchanted by a beautiful melody. The flavors should resonate off the palate and fill the senses with bold, unexpected textures and subtle nuances.
